Man arrested for dagga again
The police at Elukwatini have today 2012-10-02 arrested a 23-year-old man for being in possession of 8,3kg dagga that is estimated to the street value of eight thousand three hundred rands.
Police Captain Zakhele Masina and Const Mandla Zwane were busy with their daily routine when they received a tip off about a man who was travelling in a white taxi with bags full of dagga. The police went to investigate and at then fourways stop in the Nhlazatshe Central Business District, a white taxi was spotted and stopped.
All occupants were ordered to take their belongings and then searched. The suspect was also amongs the passengers and searched. He was found to be in possession of two travelling bags full of dagga. The suspect informed the police that he was origionally from KwaZulu Natal ,got dagga from Swaziland and he was on his way to Johannesburg to make business. He was then arrested and charged with possession of dagga.
He is in police custody and will appear before the Eestehoek Magistrates’ Court tomorrow 2012-10-03.
